Recently, the Central Lake Varsity Cheerleaders held a non-perishable food drive during the month of November. They were able to provide several families with food this winter. According to Pastor Gary at the Central Lake Community food pantry, this was the most food they have received from a food drive and he was very grateful for their efforts. The Board of Education and the Administration are launching a new initiative to guide Central Lake Public Schools through a Three- to Five-Year Strategic Plan. The purpose of this initiative is to help develop new goals and strategies to continue offering an excellent education to our students while using scarce public education resources as effectively and efficiently as possible. The strategic planning process is designed to produce approximately five goals to be accomplished over a three- to five-year period. The plan uses data, along with feedback from staff, students, and community members, to create a shared vision for the future that will make the district an even better place for our students. Your ideas about the strengths of Central Lake Public Schools are very important, as are your opinions on where there is opportunity to remove barriers to implementation and other input. Therefore, you are invited to provide input in either of the scheduled face-to-face sessions or electronically (QR code included on the flyer). All input must be received by January 31, 2026.
Sincerely,
Gerry McAvoy, Board President
Dr. Ryan Cunningham, Superintendent
